contes mauriciens

"It will have you rolling about screeching with delight and willingly calling out in French."
Teacher, West Sussex

"Many students were given confidence that they had understood a performance all in French."
Teacher, Shaftesbury

Théâtre Sans Frontières will be bringing magical folklore and tropical sunshine to schools throughout Britain this Autumn, with the revival of the highly acclaimed show Contes Mauriciens - last performed in 1999.

Told in simple French, the two tales L’Arbre aux Gateaux (The Tree of Cakes) and L’Homme au Banjo (The Banjo man) use clowning, shadows, puppetry and original music to ensure that magic, mystery, wisdom and wonder abound.

It certainly proved popular with pupils and teachers on the last tour...
