Set in 17th century Holland, La Tulipe Noire is a provocative cocktail of jealousy and love, the comic and the torturous. The prized Black Tulip of the title is sought after by a ridiculous set of characters, a mix of "The Draughtsman's Contract" and "The Pit and the Pendulum", in a race against time.
